Janine Krayer Wildlife Photography-1-36.jpg

The half-collard kingfisher Alcedo semitorquata is amongst the shiest of the kingfishers on the Chobe River. Always hiding in the darkest and deepest bushes along the river bank I felt lucky to catch out on an open branch. This stunningly blue bird looks amazing against the lush green background of the Chobe River bnak. Shot in Kasane in Botswana from a boat.
