I was approaching a hide in the Kalahari when I noticed this young kudu bull standing on the pathway that lead to the door of the hide. The angle of the sun cast a dappled light across his face, contrasting with the shaded background and I knew immediately the type of image I wanted to create. Fortunately he waited, staring at me just long enough for me to compose and underexpose to accentuate the contrasting scene.
