Pangolin-28.jpg

After I spotted this buffalo heading towards the lion pride I had been following, I realised the pride would be quick to take advantage. Unfortunately I estimated the action would take place in the wettest part of the soft marsh and there was a good chance I would get stuck trying to get there. Luckily I didn't and spent 10 minutes watching the belligerent adult buffalo fight off wave after wave of attacks. Eventually it escaped, bloodied but victorious, leaving the sodden lions missing the extra fire-power provided by the absent territorial males.
